Colleen - Boone Hall Plantation

Today's bride, Colleen had the brilliant idea to select the grounds of Boone Hall Plantation as
the backdrop for her bridal portraits...and boy, did it pay off!   Located just over the bridge in
Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, this stunning Lowcountry venue is a must-see when location
scouting.  Once home to the 2004 movie, The Notebook, Boone Hall offers a picturesque setting
for bridals, engagement sessions, rehearsal dinners and weddings

Photographed by talented Charleston photographer, Carmen Ash, Colleen spent the day
touring the  property and taking advantage of the beautiful scenery.

How beautiful is this Southern bride and her perfectly Lowcountry portraits?

Kylene + Adam: Day After Session

Hopefully, you caught Kylene + Adam's fun Isle of Wight County Fair engagement session
yesterday  (It was a good one!).  I'm glad to say the sweet duo is back today with some
seriously beautiful scenic shots from their wedding.

The couple partied the night away at Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Virginia and spent the following day gallivanting around the resort with Grant & Deb Photographers in this jaw-dropping day after session.  Bay Creek played host as the coastal backdrop to an afternoon of fun as Kylene + Adam enjoyed the stunning water views and perfect scenery.  I have a feeling the newlyweds have already filled their house with all these images...if not, they better be working on it!

This one is my favorite.  Would it be weird if framed this?

Just perfect.  Thanks for sharing!

Kylene + Adam's Carnival Engagement Session

Hope everyone was able to soak up the last few days of summer this weekend!
Now that cooler weather is right around the corner, I can't help but get a teensy-bit excited
that it's almost Fair season :)

I LOVE when the fair comes to town, and let's be honest...who doesn't.  I'm a big fan of the lights, cotton candy, the games and, of course, anything deep-fried (preferably Snickers or Oreos but I'm not picky).  Last year, my husband and I went to the SC State Fair in Columbia and had a fabulous time at the Boyz II Men concert (don't judge, it was a blast!).  So, to build up some anticipation for when the Fair comes rolling thru your town, we wanted to kick off this week with Kylene + Adam's fun engagement session from the talented Virginia Beach team of  Grant & Deb.

Check back tomorrow for their beautiful wedding!

Chair Options

The great thing about planning your wedding is if you can dream it, your vendors can make it happen.  Luckily for Lowcountry brides, we're blessed with some of the most talented vendors in the industry and rental companies full of beautiful goodies you can't find anywhere else.  There are SO many options when it comes to every aspect of the planning process (which can almost be bad if you're indecisive like moi) and the possibilities are endless.  Just make sure you keep an open mind!

It's no different when it comes to finding seating for your guests.  The days of chair covers and ties are loooong gone!  Now, you can feel free to mix and match chairs of different sizes and colors to match the mood of your wedding at a relatively similar cost.  We've managed to compiled some of our favorite seating options for you to peruse.  Check out how each one brings a whole new element to the overall appeal of the wedding.  They all bring so much character to these weddings.  Not only can you go for a different chair option, but don't forget that you can spice up any old chair with a patterned cushion or a beautiful floral adornment.
